The 16 boys’ teams are set for this October’s North-South Challenge, the annual tournament that features many of the finest teams in California, hosted by Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, CA. The northern representatives include:

  • Sacred Heat Prep (Atherton)
  • Miramonte (Orinda)
  • Acalanes (Lafayette)
  • St Francis (Mountain View)
  • Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, will co-host)
  • Los Altos
  • Campolindo (Moraga)
  • Davis
As reported by Dan Albano of OCVarsity.com earlier today, the southern teams will be:
  • Mater Dei (Santa Ana, 3-time defending champion)
  • Harvard-Westlake (Los Angeles)
  • Loyola (Los Angeles)
  • Dana Hills
  • Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga)
  • Villa Park
  • Cathedral Catholic (Del Mar)
  • Agoura
El Toro of Lake Forest will not participate for the first time in the tournament’s history. Los Osos and Dana Hills are interesting new additions from the South, and Davis, which has shown signs of improvement, could be a surprise from the North.
