KEARNS, UT – A month after the fact, the Kearns boys and the Murray girls get their props for winning the Utah state high school water polo championships. Kearns earned its ninth straight title with a win over Cottonwood, while the Kearns girls were unable to overturn victorious Murray in their title match.

OAK PARK, IL –Fenwick High School hosted a few dozen Midwestern prep hopefuls at the 5 Meter Chicago Water Polo Showcase. The camp, led by UCSB assistant coach John Abdou, attracted high profile coaches such as Long Beach State’s Gavin Arroyo and Brown’s Felix Mercado. Abdou shared photos of the large group of girls and boys on Twitter.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA –The Orange County-based Ironman League crowned another 16 and over boys’ champion on Saturday, as reported by the OC Register’s Dan Albano. Under the United Waterpolo Club banner a Mater Dei proxy team defeated Del Mar 11-5 in the final match. The runners up from North San Diego County are comprised largely of Cathedral Catholic High School athletes. The Mater Dei boys are no longer members of the highly successful Regency club, whose operations were rolled in to United’s some time ago according to Robert Gonzales, member of the club’s board of directors.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA – While American high school and club teams often train in Europe during the summer, Rondebosch Boys High School from Cape Town, South Africa is doing the same on American soil. Their two week foray to the States has them carving their way through California’s Orange County where they’ve been photographed training with teams from Orange Lutheran and Huntington Beach.

PLEASANTON, CA – Without much notice Club Spaces will no longer offer web support to its clients as of September 2013. Club Space has been the club management tool of choice for USA Water Polo member for the past several years. No official word on how the service will be replaced, though there is some speculation that Eteamz will fill the role.
