By Under the Blue Devil A moniker the boys of Norcross won the Georgia State High School Championships with a 7-5 victory over SPX A (a St. Pius-based team) on Sunday. The championship punctuated an undefeated season for the Blue Devils, coached by former Ohioan Matt Roberts.
Lakeside defeated Collins Hill to take the girls’ title. No score has yet been reported.
The Norcross boys improved on their fourth place finish in 2012, perhaps due to their unconventional early morning training methodologies captured in this video.
