By The Eastern Prep School water polo championships arrive in Annapolis this weekend, but not before Calvert Hall took home the championship trophy in Maryland’s MIAA high school championship last Tuesday the 26th. The Cardinals, who have won 10 of the last 14 MIAA titles, held off second ranked Loyola Blakefield, 12-8, to earn the victory.
They now travel to the Naval Academy to defend their Eastern Prep title against some of the East’s best, including rivals Loyola, Lawrenceville from New Jersey, DC’s Gonzaga Prep, and Pennsylvania’s Malvern Prep and Penn Charter.
The tournament begins Saturday, November 2.
