Austin, TX – The men of the University of Texas club will bring their undefeated league record to La Jolla this weekend as the number three seed in this year’s CWPA club championships.
The Longhorns defeated the University of Houston, 13-10, at its division championships on Oct. 20 to earn entry in to the event. Seedings are done largely based on the previous years’ final tournament standings giving UT its number three slot.
The almost wholly Texan roster includes Arseni Grokhovski, an MBA student who earned first-team All-Southern Division honors as a member of Slippery Rock’s number-20 ranked varsity squad in 2005, and who has coached the UT men in the past.
The Longhorns begin their tournament versus 14-seed Georgia on Friday the 8th. Seedings, standing, results, and links to live streaming of the event can be found at the CWPA’s tournament page.
