By Tony Azevedo made his return to the USA Senior Men’s team on Sunday. He scored one goal while veterans John Mann and Brett Bonanni each tallied three in a 10-10 draw against visiting Italy at Newport Harbor High School. The Italians are in California for a three-game exhibition series against the Americans.
USA Coach Dejan Udovicic continues to experiment with his roster giving prep talents such as Harvard-Westlake’s Ben Hallock and Huntington Beach goalkeeper Alex Wolf time with veterans including Azevedo and Jesse Smith.
The series continues on Tuesday with a 7PM Pacific matchup at Pomona-Pitzer followed by a January 3 meeting at USC. Go Live Polo will be streaming all three contests. They produced an introduction to the new-look roster and all the action from game one.
