In 2014 St. Thomas Aquinas defeated Belen Jesuit by 10 goals in a semifinal match to earn a spot in the finals. There they lost to Gulliver Prep. On April 18 Belen avenged that loss with a 14-9 championship victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. The Wolverines now have their second state championship trophy.
Meanwhile, the girls of Ransom Everglades pocketed their sixth state title in seven years with a 14-10 win over Lake Nona.
