By At the time ranked fourth and ninth in the state respectively, the boys of Lyons Township hosted Sandburg on March 26, a match captured in high-def glory by LTTV. The Lions were simply too much for the Eagles turning them away by a 12-4 margin.
Lyons remains in fourth position in Illpolo.com’s most recent rankings while Sandburg stands in 17th. Both teams received high seedings in the state’s sectional assignments determined on April 23. Sectional play-in games will begin on May 11.
