Despite a disappointing loss to Hawai’i in the Big West finals, Dan Klatt’s UC Irvine squad secured a spot in the NCAA Championships beginning on Friday with the school’s first at-large bid. They take on the talented and upset-minded Bears of Cal in the first round with the goal of not only winning their first game but making it all the way to the title match.
