By A 29-0 season in 2014 and returning prep star Ben Hallock place Harvard-Westlake at the top of their sport. The nation’s best team (according to us) will remain so until someone knocks them off, which could come as early as this weekend at the very strong SB Invitational in Santa Barbara. There their rivals from down south, Mater Dei, are seeded first in Group B.
Upstarts Orange Lutheran will try to derail that matchup, as will Los Angeles’s Loyola. But observers expect a rematch between the two teams widely regarded as the best in the US.
