SAN FRANCISCO, CANine men’s college water polo matches have made the fall schedule on thePac-12 Network in 2013 the channel recently announced. The schedule includes:

…an appearance from five-time NCAA Champion USC. UCLA opens the slate September 27 hosting Pepperdine, while the Trojans make their Pac-12 Networks debut at California on November 9.

LOS ANGELES, CAEllen Moore has left her postion as Commissioner of the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) to become Executive Director of the Sacramento Running Association, she confirmed in an email. The Collegiate Water Polo Association tweeted news of the job opening on Thursday. Moore took the position in May, 2011 after a six-year term by Andy Takata. During Moore’s tenure the league added the Cal Baptist men, who will participate in the league’s championships for the first time this fall.

PORTLAND, OR –Parkrose High School’s water polo program, which must raise significant funding if it is to field teams this fall, is now taking donations via its Facebook page. The program is facing a budget shortfall after its district cut funding for the sport for the upcoming school year. Water polo at other nearby schools, Sandy, Gresham, Reynolds and Barlow, has already been cut. Parkrose’s school district, and many others, are under continued pressure to cull non-essential budget items, so resumed funding appears unlikely. INDIANAPOLIS, IN –Belated news that the 2013 NCAA men’s water polo championship tournament will be held at Stanford University’s Avery Aquatic Center, December 7 and 8. The University of Southern California will attempt to win its sixth consecutive national championship this fall, while the host Cardinal boast one of their largest ever recruiting classes and will attempt to take advantage of their home setting to dethrone the Trojans.
