The end of a (likely) US-best winning streak at 103 couldn’t derail Rockford’s path to yet another Michigan state championship. The boys elbowed their way to an 11th state title topped by a 12-3 win over title-match newcomer Hudsonville on Saturday at East Kentwood.

The Rams lost only once in 2014 falling to Ann Arbor Pioneer earlier in the fall. Rockford avenged that defeat with a 7-3 victory over the Pioneers in the championship semifinals. The Rams opened the tournament with a 13-7 win over Okemos.
