Corona del Mar selects ex-Santa Margarita veteran Ricks as coach – OC Varsity

One of the plum jobs in all of prep girls water polo has been filled according to Dan Albano of OCVarsity.com. Highly successful Kevin Ricks, formerly a CIF champion with Santa Margarita will fill the position at Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach. That job was vacated by Ross Sinclair, who returned to his alma mater, Newport Harbor, to take over the turbulent boys’ program.

Corona del Mar has named former Santa Margarita coach Kevin Ricks as its girls water polo coach, Sea Kings athletic director Don Grable said in an e-mail Wednesday afternoon.
