The growth of water polo continues apace in the state of Georgia as Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs posted job openings for men’s and women’s water polo this past Wednesday, as tweeted by the CWPA. The coach will also be responsible for event coordination at the aquatic center.

This follows the school’s October 2011 announcement regarding the addition of four new sports to the Lions’ offerings, including water polo. The school currently belongs in the the Southern States Athletic Conference, the NAIA, and competes in the NCCAA South Region. The men’s and women’s water polo teams are currently listed as “clubs” on goeclions.com. It remains unclear whom the Lions plan to compete against as they plan to kick off in the 2013-2014 season.
